The tornado sirens went off tonight. Funnel clouds were spotted about 4 miles north of where I live.
I got dressed and grabbed my savings account ($50 I keep stashed under my mattress) and a flashlight and went downstairs. We were getting a hard rain but the wind didn't even blow here.
The only reason I'm even writing about this is because nobody else in my building came downstairs. Over the last several years, the sirens have gone off at least once a year and we've never had an actual tornado closer than 4 miles away. Nobody pays attention to them anymore.
This weekend, I watched several episodes of "The Office" online. American version. I'm in love with Steve Carell. I thought he was great in "The 40 Year Old Virgin," and just a few weeks ago, I saw "Little Miss Sunshine" (which is now one of my favorite movies of all time.) Carell seems like such a sweet guy, or at least he's really good at portraying one.
